Med/Surg Travel RN — Night Shift | Greensburg, PA

13-Week Contract | 3x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

This Med/Surg unit provides care to a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with a clinical focus on post-operative and medical non-monitored patients. Specialized procedures include post-op joint replacement, bariatric/weight loss surgery recovery, and post-op general surgery care.

Clinical Scope & Skills Required

Candidates should be comfortable managing a broad range of conditions and procedures, including:

• Post-op care: joint replacement, thoracic surgery, and general surgery
• Airway management: HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, oral suctioning
• Vascular access: central line blood draws, PICC line management, port access, peripheral IV insertion
• Specialty care: peritoneal dialysis/CAPD, pre/post hemodialysis, chest tube management, wound care/wound vac
• Additional: PCA management, continuous bladder irrigation, heparin/insulin administration, blood product administration, dysrhythmia management, substance withdrawal, and TBI care

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services.

Schedule & Requirements

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Weekend coverage required (approximately 4 shifts per contract)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license required at submission
• BLS (AHA) required; current at time of submission
• Electronic health record experience required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Available to work every other holiday
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
