Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced PCU nurse for a 13-week night assignment (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts). Start date: January 4, 2027.
Unit Details
Clinical Scope
- Continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- Cardiac drip management (amiodarone, diltiazem, heparin protocols)
- BiPAP/CPAP management and non-invasive airway support
- Central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care
- Chest tube management
- Post-cardiac catheterization and post-MI care
- Tracheostomy care
- Seizure management
- Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years PCU experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Active RN license (PA or Compact)
- Willingness to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
- Available to work every other holiday
Support Services
IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, social services, and rapid response teams available.
