PCU / Stepdown

Med-Surg / Step-Down RN — Keene, NH | 13-Week Contract

This step-down position serves an adult and geriatric patient population in a community hospital setting. The unit manages patients requiring close cardiac monitoring, neurological assessment, and dementia care, with float coverage to an additional unit as needed.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36-hour weekly guarantee
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Candidates must be available to work Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year holiday blocks as scheduled
• No block scheduling; all RTO requests (max 5 days) must be submitted at the time of application

Clinical Requirements

• 2+ years of Med-Surg experience
• Cardiac drip experience — required; must be noted on profile
• Dementia experience and management — required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification — required
• BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) — required

Licensure

• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact license (must be uploaded with profile)

Additional Details

• Contract start: November 23, 2026
• Professional scrubs required (traveler-provided, no logos)
• Personal vehicle required — this community does not have public transportation
• All medical/occupational health compliance must be completed within 5 days of offer acceptance
