Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a PACU nurse for a 13-week assignment in Santa Cruz, CA. You'll provide immediate post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and assessing for complications as patients transition to the next level of care.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 x 10-hour day shifts per week
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Day shift only

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (state of California)
• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS certification
• BSN not required

What to Expect

You'll work in an acute care setting managing post-operative patients in various stages of recovery. Responsibilities include continuous monitoring, pain and nausea management, wound assessment, and clear communication with surgical and nursing teams.

Contract Terms

• 13-week assignment
• Cancellation policy: The hospital may cancel up to 3 shifts during this assignment
• Start date: November 30, 2026
