Medical-Surgical Travel Nurse | Nashville, TN

13-Week Contract | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

This medical-surgical unit in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced travel RN for a 13-week assignment beginning November 2026. The unit provides care across a broad range of general medical-surgical patients, with an emphasis on strong clinical assessment and patient safety.

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday); weekday scheduling is flexible
• Float: PRN, primarily between medical-surgical units

Clinical Scope

• General medical-surgical patient population
• Procedures performed include IV placement and Foley catheter insertion
• Unit utilizes wound vac therapy, remote telemetry, telehealth, and virtual sitter technology
• Supported by unit secretaries and patient care technicians on day shift; PCTs available on nights

Required Skills & Certifications

• Strong assessment skills
• Experience with IV pumps and medication dispensing systems
• BLS required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI preferred

Patient Experience Standards

• Bedside shift report (BSSR)
• Hourly rounding

Dress Code

• Black or royal blue scrubs
