Oncology / Women's Surgical RN — Asheville, NC

This 13-week contract places you on a dedicated Oncology/Women's Surgical unit in Asheville, NC. The unit cares for oncology patients and women's surgical patients, with a collaborative team environment that values adaptability and a willingness to learn.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 6 weekend days required per schedule period
• Call is rare

Clinical Scope

• Oncology and post-surgical patient population
• Procedures include occasional pelvic exams, echocardiography, and thoracentesis
• Collaborative team structure with CNCs, RNs, CNAs, and a HUC on days

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Chemo certification preferred (candidates with this credential will be prioritized)
• Strong teamwork orientation

Float

• Occasional float to other med-surg units; the team rarely floats

Dress Code

• RNs: Navy, white, or a combination of both
• CNAs: Galaxy Blue

This is a longer-term engagement at 91 weeks total, with an anticipated start date of November 9, 2026. Ideal for a clinician with med-surg or oncology experience who thrives in a team-first environment.
