Registered Nurse – Float Pool (Med/Surg Tele)

Position Overview

Join the float pool serving medical/surgical, telemetry, geriatric, and psychiatric patient populations. You'll deliver comprehensive nursing care across multiple inpatient units, utilizing the full nursing process while collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week, with overtime available
• Every other weekend rotation
• Every other holiday rotation
• Occasional on-call during low-census periods (must respond within one hour if called)

Floating & Unit Details

You'll float across non-critical care inpatient units, including medical/surgical, telemetry, behavioral health, and emergency department (for boarding patients). If you hold critical care credentials, you may also float to the CCU or ICU. Assignments may include the West Burlington Campus and, at times, Fort Madison or Henry County locations.

Patient Ratios

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS certification
• EMR experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months
• Willingness to self-study telemetry strips and pass a Basic Dysrhythmia test during orientation
