Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled RN to join its Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. You'll provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions, working as part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, identifying and responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans based on the nursing process
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips as applicable
• Manage pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients, including wound management and pain control
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory diagnoses)
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and the broader care team on plan of care and discharge planning
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Manage a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 1+ years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• Location: Richmond, KY
