Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. You'll provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions, managing a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and vital sign assessment, recognizing and responding promptly to rhythm changes
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips as applicable
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory diagnoses)
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• 1+ years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required
• ADN or ASN; BSN preferred

Schedule & Duration

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 30, 2026
