ICU Nurse — Night Shift

The Opportunity

Join an ICU team providing high-acuity care to cardiac, post-surgical, sepsis, stroke, and other critically ill patients. This is a 12-hour night shift role (1845–0715) with a 13-week contract starting December 7, 2026.

Unit Overview

Staffing & Support

• Charge nurse on duty (no patient assignment)
• Unit tech for equipment and administrative support
• RT, Pharmacy, and Hospitalist/Intensivist available 24/7
• 44 hardwired monitors with dedicated monitor tech

Requirements & Expectations

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (CCRN preferred)
• Minimum 3 years ICU experience; 2+ years considered if from a major institution
• Every other weekend commitment (Friday–Sunday)
• Float to Telemetry and ER for ICU holds
• Willing to work holidays as needed
• Navy scrubs
• No self-scheduling

Orientation

One day on the ICU unit plus one shift on Tele/Stepdown. Fresh open heart and craniotomy cases are not assigned to travel nurses.

• Guaranteed 36 hours/week
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract
