Physical Therapist – Inpatient Rehab

Position Overview

Join a collaborative allied health team providing physical therapy across inpatient acute care settings. This 70-week contract offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with experienced clinicians in a supportive environment.

Clinical Scope

You'll primarily work in the inpatient rehab unit (approximately 90% of your time), managing 4 patients per 8-hour shift with full documentation completion. The remaining 10% involves coverage on the ortho unit and occasional med-surgical floors. You'll treat patients across acute care, mid-level critical care, med-surgical, and orthopedic populations.

Schedule & Locations

• Lufkin: November 16 – December 13, 2026 (may include weekend coverage)
• Livingston: December 14, 2026 – January 9, 2027 (typically weekends off)
• Flexible hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM with 4-10's or 5-8's shifts
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Weekend coverage available (planned in advance)

Requirements

• Current state physical therapy license
• BLS Certification
• Demonstrated efficiency and independent clinical practice (experience required)
• Ability to complete 22 units of service per 8-hour day

Team Structure

Work alongside a 6-person PT team on weekdays (1–3 PTs on weekends). Collaborate with SLP and OT staff on site.

Cancellation Policy: 4 shifts per 13-week assignment; 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks.
