Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. This is a 12-hour night shift position (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with a 36-hour weekly guarantee and the potential to float to other units as needed.

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 10, 2026
• Schedule: Every other weekend; night shifts only
• No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation using age-specific criteria
• Demonstrate proficiency with cardiac medications (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex); apply knowledge of titration and medication management
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status using strong clinical judgment
• Identify stroke signs/symptoms and intervene appropriately
• Supervise and direct LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries
• Maintain reliable, punctual attendance for all assigned shifts

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact state)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Active NIHSS certification
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Note: Candidates living within 45 miles of the facility may be considered local travelers and subject to adjusted rates per facility policy.
