Labor & Delivery RN — Travel Contract

White Plains, NY | 13-Week Contract | 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

This fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit manages high-risk OB patients, active labor, and intrapartum care, including C-sections performed directly on the unit. Magnesium patients are cared for on the L&D side, while low-risk antepartum patients are managed separately on the OB side. Nurses perform full assessments and independent exams; IUPC placement is not required.

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• High-risk OB and intrapartum care
• C-sections and mag management
• Nurses may be tasked to float to OB or nursery (no additional patient assignments)

Schedule & Contract Details

• 13-week contract, starting November 16, 2026
• 12-hour day shifts; guaranteed 34.5 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: every 3rd weekend (3 weekend shifts per 4-week period)

Requirements

• BSN required
• Active RN license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NRP — all required; RNC preferred
• High-risk OB experience strongly preferred
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to perform independent patient assessments
• Flu vaccine required — no exceptions or exemptions

Unit Details

• AWHONN-compliant patient ratios
• Scrub techs utilized for support
• In-house physician coverage available several nights per week
• Pharmacy and respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Floor-specific orientation: 2–3 shifts
• Scrubs provided by the facility
