Position: ICU Nurse – Night Shift
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend
- 13-week contract
- Float required to medical/surgical telemetry, progressive care, and telemetry units as needed
Unit Overview
You'll work in a mixed-specialty ICU environment caring for adult and geriatric patients with medical, neuro, surgical, trauma, and cardiovascular diagnoses. The unit features onsite EEG capabilities and manages a diverse patient population requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and critical care interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience
- Proficiency with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with advanced devices: Impella, IABP, VADs
- Competency in arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, blood product administration
- IV insulin protocol management
- Ventilator management and care of sedated patients
- GI surgery experience a plus
Preferred Certifications
- PALS
- CCRN
Additional Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Comfortable floating across unit types as staffing needs arise
- 12 hours of orientation provided
- First-time travelers welcome
