Medical-Surgical Nursing Position
Location: Sonora, CA
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 36–48 hours per week
About the Role
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for the medical-surgical unit. You will deliver coordinated patient care, supervise nursing staff at various levels, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. This role emphasizes critical thinking, independent judgment, and direct patient advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to identify diagnoses and care needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with measurable interventions
- Supervise and delegate to nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust plans as appropriate
- Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning
- Maintain a safe, healing care environment
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
- BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
