Outpatient Pediatric Physical Therapist

Position Overview

Join a small, hospital-based outpatient clinic offering comprehensive pediatric physical therapy services. You'll work independently with children presenting developmental delays, torticollis, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic injuries in a medical-based (not school-based) setting.

Schedule & Contract

• Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM (5×8 hours, with flexibility for any 8-hour block between 7:30 AM–6:00 PM)
• Duration: Up to 26 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Call/On-Call: No
• Floating: You may be asked to float to acute care when outpatient census is low
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Requirements

• License: California PT License (must be valid at submission; compact license acceptable)
• Certification: BLS
• Experience: Minimum 1 year outpatient pediatric PT (first-timers with 1 year experience accepted)
• Clinical Skills: Must be independent with assessments; proficiency with PDMS-2 preferred
• References: 2 professional references from the past 3 years (may include charge RNs/leads)

Clinical Scope

Daily patient load of 7–8 patients per hour. You'll conduct evaluations, assessments, plan of care development, and discharge planning for pediatric patients ranging from infants to adolescents. Experience with adaptive equipment, AROM/AAROM/PROM, and patient/family education expected.
