Registered Nurse – Neuro Med/Surg | Nashville, TN

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Neuro Med/Surg unit in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract beginning November 30, 2026. This is a night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), working three 12-hour shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours.

Unit Overview

The unit manages a neurological and medical/surgical patient population, with an emphasis on attentive, patient- and family-centered care. Bedside shift report is standard practice, and nurses are expected to engage patients and families directly in care planning.

Techs are available on both day and night shifts; a unit secretary covers days (7a–7p).

Clinical Requirements

• Med/Surg experience required
• Proficiency in IV insertion, basic wound care, and management of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a moderate-to-high acuity environment

Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN license (Tennessee or compact)
• BLS certification required

Schedule & Float Policy

• 3 × 12-hour night shifts per week
• 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week scheduling period
• Contract staff are first to float; rotation applies when multiple contract nurses are scheduled
