Psychiatric Nurse – Night Shift

About the Role
You'll provide direct patient care on the facility's psychiatric unit during overnight hours. This role involves assessing patient mental health status, administering medications, facilitating therapeutic interventions, and monitoring for acute changes or safety concerns. You'll work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff to support patient recovery and stabilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric nursing care
- Complete thorough assessments and maintain detailed documentation
- Respond to behavioral and psychiatric emergencies
- Administer medications and monitor for side effects
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team

Requirements
- Current RN license (North Carolina)
- Psychiatric nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Strong communication and crisis de-escalation skills
- BLS certification
