Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — Asheville, NC

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract | 36 Hours Guaranteed

Clinical Scope

The unit handles a diverse patient population requiring close monitoring and hands-on intervention. Common procedures include:

• Neuro and spinal assessments
• C-collar placement and TLSO brace management
• Chest tube care, PCA pump management, and IV infusions
• Lumbar drain management
• Feeding tube placement
• Blood transfusions

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Prior neurological and/or trauma care experience (required — candidates without this background will not be considered)

• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: October 7, 2026

Float Expectations

Travelers may be floated to stepdown or med-surg units as needed.

Navy blue scrubs
