Med/Surg Telemetry RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for day shift work in a fast-paced inpatient unit. You'll provide direct patient care, monitor cardiac telemetry, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent outcomes.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- 13-week contract
- Start date: November 20, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (active and in hand at submission)
- Permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand
- One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director (within the last 12 months)
Clinical Scope
You'll care for patients across a range of medical and surgical diagnoses, manage telemetry monitoring, and participate in unit-based procedures and protocols.
Important Notes
- Background check and FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Pre-start orientation modules required (6–15 hours; first 4 hours are paid)
- ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation; two attempts to pass required
- Annual hands-on competency requirements apply for extended or returning contracts
- Candidates may extend up to 18 months; a 6-month break follows unless waived by the facility
