Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) – PM Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a PACU nurse for a 90-week contract assignment. You'll work four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours), scheduled 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of PACU experience
- Current Compact or Georgia state RN license (must be in hand at start)
- One reference preferred (not required)
Assignment Details
- Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts per week, PM hours
- Contract: 90 weeks with guaranteed hours
- Location: Decatur, GA area (50-mile radius)
- Start Date: December 7, 2026
What You'll Do
You'll provide direct patient care in a busy post-operative recovery environment, monitoring patients emerging from anesthesia, managing pain and nausea, and preparing patients for discharge or floor transfer. This role requires strong assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with the surgical and anesthesia teams.
