NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join the NICU team on a 13-week night contract. You'll provide respiratory care to critically ill and extremely premature neonates in a high-acuity setting.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Every other holiday
- On Call: None
- Start Date: December 7, 2026
Requirements
- 1+ years' experience in a Level 3 or higher NICU (or 1+ year PICU)
- Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- Current RRT, BLS, and NRP certifications
- PALS preferred
- First-time travelers and local candidates welcome
Clinical Scope
You'll manage respiratory support across multiple acuity levels, including:
- Bubble CPAP, CPAP, and BiPAP management
- Neonatal intubation assistance and extubation
- High-frequency oscillatory ventilation
- Nitric oxide therapy
- Tracheostomy care
- Mechanical ventilation troubleshooting and weaning
Floating
You may float between neonatal and pediatric units based on facility needs.
