Hospice Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join a dedicated hospice team providing compassionate end-of-life care in a mobile home care setting across Buncombe County. This is a night shift role (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on a 13-week contract.
The Role
You'll work as part of a collaborative team managing patients in their homes. Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough patient assessments
- Implementing pain management strategies
- Educating families on care processes and comfort measures
- Maintaining accurate documentation
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license and CPR certification
- Hospice nursing experience (required)
- Familiarity with electronic medical records
- Active driver's license (required for mobile visits)
- Understanding of hospice certification requirements
- Home health experience is a plus
The Work Environment
- Supportive, collaborative night shift team
- Potential for occasional backup call (not common)
- Scrubs required
