Cath Lab RN

Cath Lab Recovery RN | Asheville, NC | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN role is in a Cath Lab Recovery unit, managing patients pre- and post-procedure from cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs. The unit provides CNA support and operates three 12-hour shifts per week — two shifts from 06:00–18:30 and one from 08:00–20:30, for a guaranteed 36 hours weekly.

Clinical Scope

Nurses in this role prep and recover patients undergoing cardiac and EP procedures, including structural heart cases. Key procedures performed include sheath pulls, groin and radial access site management, cardioversions, and general anesthesia recovery. The patient population requires a strong cardiac and procedural background.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS certification
• ICU or Cardiac Step-Down experience required
• Previous Cath Lab or EP Lab experience strongly preferred
• Moderate sedation experience preferred
• Competency in sheath pulls

Shift & Scheduling Details

• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Start time: 06:00 or 08:00 depending on day
• No weekly call, no weekend requirements
• Float to IR Pre/Post is rare; flexibility based on census
