Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a registered nurse for its progressive care unit. This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to provide care to step-down patients requiring moderate acuity monitoring and intervention.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
Role Details
You'll work nights in a PCU setting, managing patients transitioning from acute care or requiring close observation. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and coordination with the interdisciplinary team. You'll collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to deliver safe, compassionate care.
Requirements
- Current RN license (North Carolina)
- PCU or acute care experience preferred
- Ability to work independently on the night shift
- Strong communication and time-management skills
