Progressive Care Nurse – Cardiac Unit

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Progressive Care Nurse for a 13-week contract on a cardiac progressive care unit. This is a day shift position (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) with every-other-weekend scheduling. Guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Unit & Patient Population

Required Experience & Skills

• Stepdown or progressive care nursing experience (required)
• Telemetry monitoring experience
• Proficiency with titratable cardiac IV medications (nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drips, heparin, Bumex/Lasix)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin)
• Relief charge nurse experience

Clinical Scope

Typical procedures include bedside cardioversion. You'll use monitoring and infusion equipment standard to cardiac stepdown care.

Floating & Dress Code

You may float to medical-surgical units, other stepdown units, COVID units, and ER holding as needed. Wear all white, all navy, or a combination of white top and navy blue pants.
