Oncology / Women's Surgical – Registered Nurse

Asheville, NC | Nights | 26-Week Contract

This night-shift travel RN position is on an Oncology and Women's Surgical unit in Asheville, NC. The unit manages a diverse patient population including oncology and post-surgical gynecological cases, with a focus on collaborative, team-based care.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 6 weekend days required per scheduling period
• Call is rare

Clinical Scope

• Oncology and women's surgical patient population
• Procedures include occasional pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis
• Moderate-to-high acuity medical-surgical environment

Float Requirements

• Floating to other med-surg units is possible but uncommon

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Chemotherapy certification

Dress Code

• RNs: Navy, white, or a combination of both
• CNAs: Galaxy Blue

Ideal Candidate

Strong team player with a willingness to learn and adaptability in a mixed oncology and surgical setting. Candidates with chemo certification will be given priority consideration.
