Progressive Care / Observation Unit RN — Asheville, NC
This 13-week contract places you on a fast-paced inpatient overflow unit serving a mixed medical-surgical and step-down patient population. The unit focuses on short-stay patients (target length of stay under 24 hours), resulting in high turnover and a dynamic, active workflow.
Shift & Schedule
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every other weekend required; no on-call required
Unit Overview
- Mixed medical-surgical and progressive/step-down level of care
- All patients requiring telemetry monitoring are hardwired to bedside monitors
- Float to other units may be required based on census needs
Required Skills & Experience
- Telemetry competency — mandatory
- Progressive care experience — mandatory
- Recent progressive care experience preferred
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
