This Labor & Delivery position is based at a full-service facility in Asheville, NC, offering a dynamic clinical environment for experienced L&D nurses. The unit manages a broad range of obstetric cases, from routine vaginal deliveries to high-risk and surgical births.
Contract Details
- Start Date: October 21, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks
Clinical Scope
The unit handles a full spectrum of obstetric care, including:
- Vaginal deliveries
- Cesarean sections
- D&C, cerclage, and C-Hyst procedures
- High-risk obstetric management
- Immediate newborn care
Float Potential
Candidates should be prepared to float to MFM, Mother-Baby, and NICU as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience (required)
- High-risk OB experience (required)
- Immediate newborn care competency (required)
- Circulating experience (preferred)
Required Certifications
- NRP
- BLS or ALS
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring
Additional Details
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Weekend and on-call shifts: not required; available upon approval
