Operating Room – Circulator RN | Council Bluffs, IA

13-Week Contract | 4x10 Days | Start: November 2026

This OR position supports a busy surgical program handling 10–30 cases per day across a wide range of specialties. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts (0700–1730), with early start times as early as 0630 depending on case volume.

Surgical Case Mix

• General, gynecology, orthopedics, urology, and ENT
• ECTs and pain blocks
• Smaller volume of vascular, neuro, and head & neck cases

Role Expectations

• Primary role is circulator; scrubbing may be required during call coverage
• Circulators support PACU as needed while patients recover
• Schedule is manager-assigned; no self-scheduling

Call Requirements

• 6 call days per 4-week period
• Weeknight call: 1730–0700
• Weekend call: Saturday–Sunday, 0700–0700 (Monday morning)
• Holiday call possible if holidays fall within the contract
• 30-minute call response time required

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Prior OR experience across the listed specialties required
• BSN not required

Additional Details

• Orientation: 1 week
• Guaranteed hours: 40/week
• Facility-provided scrubs
• OR dress code: no nail polish for scrubbed personnel, stud earrings only (or covered), no necklaces or jewelry
