Intermediate Care Unit – RN

Position Overview

Join the intermediate care unit for a 13-week assignment, working days 7 AM – 7 PM. You'll provide skilled nursing care to patients with mixed diagnoses and moderate-to-high acuity, including those with respiratory conditions, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidities.

Clinical Scope

Practice independently while delivering routine and complex care. You'll assess patients, plan interventions, monitor treatment effectiveness, and adjust care based on patient response. Responsibilities include medication administration, treatment delivery, patient and family education, and comprehensive documentation. You'll address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs as appropriate to your level of practice.

Requirements

• Current RN license in TX or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Onboarding

You'll be precepted by a designated staff member and complete competency validation within your first 30 days, including orientation and unit-specific competency requirements.
