Travel Nurse – Medical Surgical Telemetry | Night Shift | Canton, OH

Shift: Nights | 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: November 20, 2026

About the Role

This Med Surg Telemetry position supports a night-shift team caring for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring alongside general medical-surgical needs. Candidates should be comfortable with ECG rhythm interpretation and managing a diverse medical-surgical patient population at varying acuity levels.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of permanent (non-travel) experience in Med Surg Telemetry
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) and ACLS required
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
• Electronic health record proficiency required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the same specialty (from within the past 12 months); co-worker references will not be accepted

Compliance & Screening

• ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments completed during orientation; two attempts maximum to pass
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• No open background cases or license hits accepted
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Travelers must work at least every other holiday
• Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free requirements (exemption honored until further notice)

Extensions

Candidates may extend for up to 18 months continuously, after which a 6-month break is required.
