ICU Night Shift Nurse

The Opportunity

The facility's intensive care unit is seeking experienced nurses for 12-hour night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM). This is a high-acuity environment managing trauma, post-surgical, and critically ill patients. You'll work every other weekend with 2 out of 3 holidays required. The contract runs 13 weeks with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Your Role

A shift manager handles charge duties without a patient load. Respiratory therapy and pharmacy are available 24/7. You may float to telemetry or occasionally to the ER for holds.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and LA City Fire & Safety certifications
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience
• 1 year travel nursing experience
• Navy scrubs

Preferred

• EKG basic dysrhythmia course
• TNCC certification
• Pharmacology knowledge
• Familiarity with prophylactic bundles (stroke/cardiac), ABCDE bundle (ventilator weaning, delirium, mobility), and VAP bundle
