Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (Multi-Trauma) | Englewood, CO
Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Contract
This night-shift opportunity places you on a fast-paced Multi-Trauma Unit caring for a highly complex, acutely ill patient population. The unit specializes in trauma patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention, making it an excellent fit for nurses who thrive in challenging, high-acuity environments.
Clinical Scope
- Manages complex trauma patients, including those requiring ventilator support, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and wound vacs
- Procedures include chest tube placement, bedside bronchoscopy assistance, trach and suction management, and multi-system trauma care
- Supports patients on feeding pumps, IV pumps, and specialty beds
Shift & Scheduling
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Night staffing: 1 charge nurse (free of assignment) and 5 bedside nurses, supported by dedicated techs
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care PCU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Prior PCU or trauma step-down experience strongly preferred
