Med Surg Tele

Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Des Moines, IA | 13-Week Contract

This night-shift position is on a med/surg unit managing a broad range of medical-surgical patients, including overflow post-operative orthopedic cases (hips and knees). Remote telemetry monitoring is in place, and heparin drips are utilized on the unit.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• 4x12 hrs/week (48 hrs); 36 hrs/week may be accommodated upon request
• No blocked shifts; every other or every third weekend depending on staffing and census
• Holidays required

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Location: Des Moines, IA
• Extension beyond initial contract preferred

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of current Med/Surg or Med/Surg Tele RN experience
• Recent or current charge nurse experience
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license)
• First-time travelers accepted

Float Requirement

Travelers will be required to float across multiple campuses within the health system.
