Med Surg Tele

Med/Surg Telemetry — Travel Nurse | Sioux City, IA

This 13-week contract places you on a med/surg telemetry unit managing a diverse patient population that includes neurological and orthopedic cases. Floating to other med/surg units — and potentially across local campuses within the same discipline — is required.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 3x12 or 4x12 schedule
• Every other weekend required

Clinical Details

• Patient population: Neuro/Ortho, general Med/Surg
• Heparin experience required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience (first-time travelers welcome)
• Active Iowa or compact RN license (verified via Nursys)
• Active BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military certificates accepted)
• Active NIHSS certification
• Valid driver's license
• Med Surg/Tele-specific skills checklist
• One supervisory reference completed within the last two years

Holiday Expectations

• Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day
• Limited time-off requests during 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27

Additional Notes

• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Available orientation dates: 11/9, 11/23, 12/7
• Contract length: 13 weeks
