Night Shift RN — Medical-Surgical Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced RN for a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a medical-surgical telemetry unit serving older adults. This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Patient Population & Clinical Scope
Key Responsibilities
- Administer acute medications and manage heparin protocols
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to arrhythmias
- Implement evidence-based care: hospital-acquired delirium prevention, early mobility, pressure injury prevention, and fall prevention
- Engage families in care planning and communication
- Utilize specialty equipment including gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment
Requirements
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Documented med/tele experience with competency verification
- Geriatrics, trauma, and orthopedic trauma experience preferred
- Strong communication and family engagement skills
