Med Surg Tele

Med-Surg/Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Fort Dodge, IA

This 13-week travel assignment places you on a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit managing post-surgical and post-catheterization patients. The unit runs cardiac, heparin, insulin, and some titration drips, requiring strong assessment skills and comfort with telemetry monitoring.

Shift Details

• Days | 3×12-hour shifts | 0645 start
• Every third weekend required
• 1–2 of 3 major holidays required (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required; must also be willing to float to ER and ICU as needed

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• Orientation: Every Monday

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele RN experience (first-time travelers accepted with 3+ years)
• Active Iowa RN license
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS — all required
• Familiarity with electronic medical records
• Must reside 50+ miles from the facility (based on driver's license address)
• Cannot have been employed at this health system within the past 12 months
