Critical Care Respiratory Therapist – Travel Contract
Boston, MA | Nights | 13-Week Contract
This position supports a fast-paced critical care environment managing complex, high-acuity patients across both medical and surgical ICU settings. Candidates should bring strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a demanding inpatient environment.
Shift Details
- 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours guaranteed per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care across MICU and SICU patient populations
- Apply lung-protective ventilation strategies based on patient assessment and laboratory data
- Make independent ventilator management decisions
- Participate as an active member of the Code Blue team
- Experience in a Level III NICU setting is preferred
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of recent critical care respiratory therapy experience
- RRT certification
- Active Massachusetts Respiratory Care license
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification
- Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification
