Physical Therapist – Acute Care

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Physical Therapist to deliver comprehensive PT services in an acute care setting. You'll evaluate patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions in accordance with Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act standards.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• No weekends, no on-call
• 13-week contract

Clinical Scope

You'll work with multiple patient populations across acute care, with demonstrated competency in treating at least two high-risk groups. Responsibilities include:

• Patient evaluation and goal setting
• Treatment plan development and implementation
• Participation in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Caseload management within productivity standards
• Documentation using standardized assessments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
• Active Maryland Physical Therapist license
• 2+ years recent PT experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Recent travel or contract experience
• Flu and COVID vaccinations (documentation required)
• Proficiency in EMR systems
• Flexible availability to work the facility's full schedule

• Acute care background

Candidates must complete a 48-hour compliance upon offer acceptance. All employment gaps exceeding 30 days must be clearly documented.
