Pediatric Oncology / PICU RN — Asheville, NC

Nights | 4×12 | 56-Week Contract

This position supports a combined Pediatric and Oncology unit caring for a diverse pediatric patient population, including pediatric oncology patients. The unit maintains at least one oncology-trained nurse on every shift and is staffed with RNs, a Charge RN, an RT, and a PCT on both day and night shifts.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 18:45–07:15
• 48 hours guaranteed per week; overtime after 48 hours
• 6 weekend shifts required per contract, including 2 Saturdays
• Special scheduling requests and rapid response assignments cannot be accommodated

Orientation

• 4-hour facility orientation followed by an 8-hour floor shift

Clinical Details

• Patient population: pediatric and pediatric oncology
• Acuity ranges from moderate to high
• Float potential to PICU and NICU
• Scrub color: all navy, all white, or a combination of navy and white

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Hospital-based pediatric nursing experience (required)
• Pediatric oncology experience (required; candidates without will not be considered)
• Certifications: BLS and PALS (both required)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced pediatric environment
