Emergency Department Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36-hour weeks.
About the Role
You'll work in a fast-paced ED environment providing direct patient care, , and emergency nursing support. The unit manages a diverse patient population requiring acute assessment and intervention skills.
Clinical Scope
Expected procedures and conditions include:
- STEMI care and thrombolytic (tPA) administration
- Laceration repair and wound management
- Orthopedic injuries and care
- Standard emergency resuscitation and stabilization
Staffing & Ratios
- Night shift team includes charge nurse, nurse, 4 bedside RNs, HUC, and tech
- No floating required
Requirements
- License & Certifications: Current RN license; BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH certification required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
- Schedule: Rotating weekends; no on-call
