Operating Room Nurse – Surgical Services
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced OR nurse for a 26-week contract in surgical services. You'll work in a busy operating room environment supporting a wide range of surgical specialties in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
Shift & Schedule
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Weekend call on rotation
- Major and minor holidays assigned
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Scope & Requirements
Operating room experience is required. Level 1 trauma experience is preferred. Candidates with expertise in any of the following specialties are encouraged to apply:
- Orthopedic procedures
- Neurosurgery
- Robotic-assisted surgery
- Plastic surgery
You'll be expected to function as a competent perioperative nurse, supporting surgeons and anesthesia in a dynamic surgical environment.
Credentials & Compliance
- Current, valid RN license (verification required)
- ACLS/PALS certification
- Fit testing
- Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
- TB screening (2-Step PPD or IGRA)
- Background check and drug screening
- Color vision screening
Professional references and employment verification will be required.
