Labor & Delivery Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
Join the facility's Labor & Delivery unit for a 13-week contract assignment. This role offers a consistent night schedule with every-other-weekend rotation and no on-call requirements.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Rotation: Every other weekend
- No call required
- Guaranteed: 36 hours per week
Clinical Environment
You'll provide compassionate care to expectant mothers and their families during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. Float flexibility to similar obstetric units on the same campus or other campuses within Wichita may be required.
Requirements
- Current RN license (Nursys verification required)
- Professional references and employment/education verification
- Criminal background check and drug screening
- Required health screenings: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza vaccine, TB clearance, and fit test
- Valid driver's license/state ID
- ACLS certification (required for onboarding)
What to Expect
Laundered scrubs are provided. You'll use the facility's EHR system and complete standard onboarding competencies, including specialty exams and EKG certification.
