Emergency Department Nursing – Wichita, KS

Position Overview

Join the emergency department as a registered nurse on a 13-week contract. This is a fast-paced environment where you'll care for acutely ill and injured patients across all ages and conditions.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
• Frequency: Every other weekend
• Call: No call duty required
• Guaranteed hours: 48 per week

Clinical Scope

You'll provide direct patient care in a high-volume ED setting, performing assessments, administering medications and treatments, assisting with procedures, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize and transition patients. Expect variety in patient acuity and presentation.

Float Requirements

Be prepared to float to similar units on the same campus or other Wichita-area campuses as needed.

Requirements

• Current nursing license (verification required)
• Professional references and employment verification
• Standard credentialing: background check, drug screen, immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap), TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), fit test, and health statement
• CPR/ACLS and facility-specific competency exams completed during onboarding
• Valid driver's license or state ID
