Emergency Department Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. This is a fast-paced acute care environment where you'll care for patients across the full spectrum of emergency presentations.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
• Schedule: Every other weekend
• Call: No call required
• Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs

Staffing & Float

You may be assigned to float to similar units on the same campus or at other campuses within Wichita as clinical needs require.

Requirements

• Current RN license (Kansas)
• BLS certification required; ACLS recommended
• Current immunizations and health screening (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB screening, etc.)
• Fit test and color vision screening required during onboarding

What to Expect

You'll work in a dynamic emergency setting with 48 guaranteed hours per week. Onboarding includes competency assessments in specialty care, EKG interpretation, and facility-specific protocols.Contract Details
