Night Shift Labor & Delivery Nurse — 13-Week Contract
Location: Galion, Ohio
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for night-shift coverage. You'll provide direct patient care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period on a busy L&D unit.
Requirements
- License: Current Ohio or compact state license (pending licenses not accepted)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years recent, continuous L&D experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (current)
- Vaccines: COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Work History: Clean employment record with no prior terminations or contract cancellations; two recent supervisory references required
Key Expectations
- Float Requirement: Ability to float across all three facility campuses (Ontario, Bucyrus, Galion) as staffing needs arise
- On-Call Coverage: If placed on call, you must arrive within 1 hour of notification
- Smoke-Free Facility: All campuses are smoke-free
- Time Off: Facility does not approve time off during major holidays
- Pre-Start Modules: Up to 8 hours of required online modules (non-billable) must be completed before your first shift
About the Role
You'll join a dedicated obstetric team providing evidence-based care to laboring patients and their families. This is a hands-on clinical role with direct patient and family interaction throughout the birthing process.
