Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its medical-surgical unit. You'll provide direct patient care across diverse specialties including emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, and wound care in an acute care setting.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Day shift, 36 or 48 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Conduct thorough history and physical assessments
- Identify abnormal diagnostic findings and report promptly
- Recognize and respond to signs of cardiac or respiratory distress
- Administer medications accurately per hospital policy
- Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain clear documentation and communication
- Participate in staff education and competency development
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care RN experience (medical-surgical floor experience preferred)
- Current RN license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Electronic health record experience required
