ICU Registered Nurse | Simi Valley, CA | Day Shift | 13-Week Contract
This travel RN opportunity places you in an acute care ICU in Simi Valley, California — a scenic suburban community in Ventura County, conveniently close to Los Angeles and the Pacific Coast.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 or 48 hours per week (guaranteed 36 hours)
- One holiday off may be approved; willingness to work the remaining holiday is required
- 13-week contract | Start date: December 7, 2026
Clinical Scope
The ICU team manages high-acuity patients requiring close monitoring and complex interventions. Nurses coordinate interdisciplinary care, implement and evaluate individualized care plans, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. You will supervise and delegate to supporting nursing staff while serving as a primary resource for patients and families.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN license in California (or compact equivalent)
- BLS (from an approved vendor)
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
- BSN preferred
- Prior ICU experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
Note: Familiarity with electronic health records is required for this role. Candidates should be comfortable with fast-paced, high-acuity workflows and collaborative team environments.
