Emergency Room Travel Position
Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Specialty: Emergency Medicine
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Schedule: Every third weekend
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 23, 2026
About the Role
You'll join the emergency department as a core member of an interdisciplinary care team. This is a fast-paced environment where you'll apply your clinical expertise in acute patient assessment, stabilization, and care management. The facility manages a high volume of trauma and emergency cases.
What You'll Need
- Minimum 1 year of emergency nursing experience (first-time travelers welcome)
- Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted)
- Valid driver's license
- Supervisory reference form completed within the last 2 years
- Willingness to float within the emergency discipline across local campuses
Scheduling & Expectations
- Standard 36- or 48-hour weekly schedules available
- Every third weekend requirement
- Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
- Limited day-off requests: 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27
- Orientation dates: October 26 or November 9
Important Note
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (based on driver's license address). If you have worked as an employee or in the PRN float pool at this facility within the past 12 months, you are not eligible for this travel assignment.
